The development/inner workings of hyperindividuality

Let me present to you the different sheaths of the soon to be born Individuality you’ve decided to take on this time. It will be a complete reminder of the total process of Becoming One, because last time, you’ve had the opportunity to progress quite well in your Journey in Incarnum, giving you the chance to be totally briefed before taking charge of the new Journey, and have much more potential at awakening.

Steiner – Stages of life, Sheaths of Spirit – Theosophic Beauty – Quotes

  1. « In the soul the “I” flashes forth, receives the impetus from the spirit and thereby becomes the bearer of the Spirit-man. Thus man participates in the “three worlds,” the physical, the soul, and the spiritual. He is rooted in the physical world through his physical body, ether-body, and soul-body and blossoms through the Spirit-self, Life-spirit, and Spirit-man up into the spiritual world. The stalk, however, which takes root in the one and blossoms in the other, is the soul itself.

This arrangement of the members of man can be expressed in a simplified way, but one entirely consistent with the above. Although the human “I” lights up in the consciousness-soul it nevertheless penetrates the whole soul-being.

The parts of this soul-being are not at all as distinctly separate as are the limbs of the body: they interpenetrate each other in a higher sense. If then one regards the intellectual soul and the consciousness-soul as the two sheaths of the “I” that belong together, with the “I” itself as their kernel, then one can divide man into physical body, life-body, astral body, and “I.”

The expression astral body designates here what is formed by soul-body and sentient soul together. This expression is found in the older literature, and may be applied here in a somewhat broad sense to that in the constitution of man which lies beyond the sensibly perceptible. Although the sentient soul is in certain respects energised by the “I” it is still so intimately connected with the soul-body that, in thinking of both as united, a single expression is justified.

When, now, the “I” saturates itself with the Spirit-self, then this Spirit-self makes its appearance in such wise that the astral body is worked over from within the soul.

In the astral body there are primarily active the impulses, desires, and passions of man, in so far as they are felt by him; sense-perceptions are also active in it.

Sense-perceptions arise through the soul-body as a member in man which comes to him from the external world.

Impulses, desires, and passions, etc., arise in the sentient soul, in so far as it is energised from within, before this “inner” has yielded itself to the Spirit-self.

If the “I” saturates itself with the Spirit-self, then the soul energises the astral body with this Spirit-self. This expresses itself in the illumination of the impulses, desires, and passions by what the “I” has received from the spirit.

The “I” has then, through its participation in the spiritual world, become ruler in the world of impulses, desires, etc. To the extent to which it has become this the Spirit-self manifests in the astral body. And the astral body is thereby transmuted. The astral body itself then appears as a two-fold body — in part untransmuted and in part transmuted. Therefore the Spirit-self, as manifested in man, can be designated as the transmuted astral body.

A similar process takes place in a man when he receives the Life-spirit into his “I.” The life-body then becomes transmuted. It becomes penetrated with the Life-spirit. This manifests itself in such wise that the life-body becomes quite other than it was. For this reason one can also say that Life-spirit is the transmuted life-body. And if the “I” receives the Spirit-man, it thereby receives the necessary force with which to permeate the physical body. Naturally, that part of the physical body, thus transmuted, is not perceptible to the physical senses. For it is just that part of the physical body which has been spiritualised that has become the Spirit-man. The physical body is then present to the physical senses as physical, but in so far as this physical is spiritualised, it must be perceived by spiritual faculties of perception. To the external senses the physical, even when permeated by the spiritual, appears to be merely sensible.

Taking all this as basis, the following arrangement of the members of man may also be given:

    1. Physical body.

    2. Life-body.

    3. Astral body.

    4. “I” as soul-kernel.

    5. Spirit-self as transmuted astral body.

    6. Life-spirit as transmuted life-body.

    7. Spirit-man as transmuted physical body. » – Rudolf Steiner

Remember. There is no end to the development of consciousness. You’ve been Created by beings that are not as High as the Most High, and you can reach their Level through your Journey. You can only gain the necessary tools to evolve by incarnating again and again on earth, until you reach hyperindividuality ! That is why you came back so many times. And Incarnum is such a delight of wonders, being human is such a trip !

You’ve chosen the right period for this, as there are many new tools and thought-patterns in the age you’re entering humanity into. You will be welcomed in the 21st century ! Congratulations 🙂

« The funny thing is, you will be living like a baby in the womb as long as your individuality doesn’t reach out to you. And at the same time, you will be its guardian angel and guide so that it can awaken you. How genius is that ? Baby-Guide hahaha.

Now the different ways it happens are as follow :

Sleep – Each time it will go to sleep, it will connect to you with its most subtle aspects. There, you receive its inner life, and through your abilities, you synchronize them with the impulse that you carry so that its subtle bodies can come back to its etheric and physical body and rejuvinate them with new updates on the missions. With a few links connected together to be triggered at the right time.

Meditation – Through meditation, your individuality may learn how to live through its soul and spiritual bodies more and more. Direct contact with you is fluidified through the practice. Obviously, there are thousands different ways of meditating. The most direct one to connect to you depends on the clarity of the intent, One must know about you to connect with you.

Synchronicity – Due to your position outside of space and time and your link to all things, you are able to create in your character’s timeline some most astounding effects. As everything has meaning and everything is connected in the realm of Incarnum, when an Individuality has a glimpse of it, it triggers within it the recognition of the Unity of the Inner and Outer worlds. Sparks of Unitive Thinking tend to arise more and more as the Individuality spots synchronicities in its life.

Therefore, it is one of the most favourite playing field of the Eternal Eyes (I’s) to create beautiful artistic symbolic synchronicities in the Dreams of their Individualities in Incarnum, so that they may rise up to they Eyes carrying a wonderful, uplifting story about how they came about becoming you.

All creation is thus Beautifully painted, orchestrated, willfully chosen, intensely lived. The Cosmic equation relating everything together through Unity is really what allows us to play with so much creativity. In this Unity, we find Freedom through Love. Our Creator has infused the background of its whole Dream with what may be called Love, Light and Consciousness.

Okay, sorry, I digressed-

Now, your Individuality needs to understand, that its Job is to gather resources from the deepest aspects of itself, the soul-consciousness, which dwells in Truth. Truth is independent from the fact that you agree to it or not, that it displeases your feelings, even if it renders you in horror. The value of Truth is untouched. The same goes for this part of the soul which dwells in Eternity. Everything that is acquired through your Individuality in the realm of the soul-consciousness is an eternally-living realization within it. Above all personnal, transient feelings, rests the eternal truth grasped within One’s own sacred space.

It is from this soul-consciousness space that you connect to your Individuality. And through its mind-soul, its ability to create thought-forms, it will work on the Astral body of desires and impulses to transform them bit by bit and make them align with the Eternal Truthes. May its Astral body become moral, and rise from beast to Man to Hyperindividuality. This is one of the biggest pieces you will have to help your Individuality work on. The whole of human evolution comes down to how much the « Me » can partake in the formation of the astral body and purify it and infuse it with individual impulses related to the Cosmos, to Eternal Truthes. Every impulse that you can root in eternal truth will grow to reach towards the highest potential.

[[Through this imprinting of the structural morality in the realm of the inner desire and impulses, the sentient soul-body related to the etheric body and the sensations of the physical world transforms itself. This metamorphosis changes the relationship with old sympathies and antipathies in the soul arising from the sensations of the sensory organs.

They stop becoming triggers and start becoming means of getting qualitative information about the external world in its depth.

As a more Individualized human being, the automatic reactions of the astral body linked to the personnal, collective unconscious and the physical cellular memories become more and more quiet. A lot of work has to be worked through if One would want to cleanse everything it carries, its part of the collective unconscious, but it is most possible, especially nowadays !]]

Man will eventually ascend to higher spheres with his personality. But something else is required. When the human being dives with his ego into the ocean of physical-material life, he finds his personality, he finds his warm blood, he finds the surging impulses and desires in his astral body — in short, he dives down into his personality. But now he must ascend into the realm of moral ideals — which must no longer be a realm of abstraction. He must rise to the Spiritual, and then there must stream towards him a reality in every sense as ‘personal’ as the reality streaming to him when he dives with his ego into his warm blood and surging passions. He must now scale the heights without lapsing into abstraction. How, then, as he rises into the Spiritual, can he enter into something that is a ‘personal’ reality? How can he develop these ideals in such a way that they are invested with the character of personality? There is only one way whereby this can be achieved. In these heights of spiritual life man must be able to draw to himself a Personality as inwardly real as the personality below in the flesh is real. Who is this Personality Whom man must draw to himself if he is to ascend into the Spiritual? This Personality is none other than Christ! One who speaks in the sense contrary to St. Paul may say: ‘Not I, but my astral body’ — but St. Paul says, ‘Not I, but Christ in me’ — indicating that when Christ lives in us, abstract ideas are invested with a personal character. Herein lies the significance of the Christ Impulse. Without the Christ Impulse humanity would reach abstract ideals only, abstract ideas of morality and the like, such as are described as ideas working in history by many historians today but which can neither live nor die because they have no creative power. When reference is made to the part played by ideas in history, it should be realized that these are dead, abstract concepts, incapable of exercising sway over epochs of civilization. Living reality alone can exercise such sway. The task before man is to unfold a higher Personality. This is the Christ-Personality Whom he draws to himself, receives into himself.

Man cannot rise again to the Spiritual by merely talking about the Spirit but only by taking the Spirit into himself in the living, personal form presented to him in the Events of Palestine, in the Mystery of Golgotha. Thus does man rise upwards again under the influence of the Christ Impulse. In no other way can abstract ideals be invested with the force of personality than by allowing the Christ Impulse to permeate the whole of our spiritual life. If on the one side, through guilt incurred before the development of the ego, we have burdened ourselves with what is called Original Sin, if there we have something for which we cannot be held wholly responsible, neither are we ourselves responsible for the fact that it is possible to draw the Christ to ourselves. Our ego plays a part in what we do or endeavour to do in order to come near to Christ, and there we can truly speak of merit. But the fact that Christ is present, that we are living on a planet where He once dwelt and in times after this actually happened — this is not due to any merit of our own. Therefore what flows from the Living Christ in order to bring us upwards again into the spiritual world, comes from beyond the sphere of the ego and draws us upwards as irresistibly as we incurred guilt without ourselves being guilty. Through Christ’s existence on earth we have the strength to rise again into the spiritual world without merit of our own, just as we incurred guilt without sin of our own. Neither fact has to do with the element of personality in which the ego lives, but both are connected with happenings that precede and followthe coming of the ego. Man has evolved from a state of existence when he had only physical body, etheric body and astral body, and he evolves further through transforming his astral body into Manas (Spirit-Self). Just as man has worsened his astral body through incurring Original Sin, so he heals it again through the Christ Impulse. An inflowing power repairs the astral body to the same extent to which it has deteriorated. That is the Atonement, that is what in the true sense is called ‘Grace’. Grace is the concept that is complementary to that of Original Sin. So the Christ Impulse has made it possible for man to become one with Christ, to say with St. Paul: ‘Not I, but Christ in me’, thus giving expression to everything that is designated by the concept of Grace.

Therefore to speak of the existence of Original Sin and of Grace does not denote misunderstanding of the idea of karma. For in speaking of the idea of karma we are speaking of the reincarnation of the ego in the different earth-lives. Karma is inconceivable without the presence of the ego: Original Sin and Grace, impulses which lie below the surface of karma, [are] in the astral body. We can say with truth that human karma was first brought about because man had burdened himself with Original Sin. Karma flows through the incarnations and before and after there are happenings which introduce and subsequently expurgate it. Before karma — Original Sin; and after — the victory of the Christ Impulse, the fullness of Grace.
